Apple has always neglected the Mac App Store. Developers end up building outside it, users end up downloading outside it, and a lot of functionality that should simply exist on the Mac is missing, even though much of it can be solved easily for both developers and users.
MacCove is our answer: focused Mac apps and tools that fill those gaps, starting with the shortcuts and workflows people lose when they move from Windows.
Every Mac has the same story. You buy a beautiful machine, then spend your first week hunting for things that were one keystroke on your old computer. You search the App Store, find little, and end up on a random website downloading an installer you don't fully trust.
That is a failure of the platform's storefront, not of users or developers. So we build the missing pieces ourselves, and we ship them the way the Mac deserves: native, fast, private, and where possible through the App Store.
