Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Xquantum OPC Private Limited (“MacCove”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the MacCove Space app (“Space”).

The short version

  • We never see or store your card number. Cards are entered on Stripe’s secure page (or paid through Apple on the Mac App Store). Stripe or Apple hold the card; we only receive a reference to it and whether a payment succeeded.
  • Your files never leave your Mac. Scans, file names, folder paths, file contents, the apps you have and the processes you run are analysed on your Mac and are not sent to us.
  • We don’t sell or share your data for advertising.

What we do keep

Only what is needed to run your license and to find and fix crashes and bugs:

  • An anonymous installation ID with your app version, macOS version and Mac architecture — used to issue your license and to support you.
  • Diagnostic and usage telemetry — for example that a scan finished, how much space it found, which screen was shown, or that an error occurred — tied to the installation ID, never to your files. We use it to spot bugs, crashes and confusing steps.
  • Your settings (for example which alerts are on). For “Do not touch” folders we only keep how many there are, never the folder names.
  • Subscription details if you subscribe: your plan, its status and renewal dates, and the email address you give at checkout, so we can help with billing.
  • Invites you choose to send: if you invite a friend by email, we keep their name and email address to deliver that one invite and credit your referral reward.

Who processes it

  • Stripe (website payments) and Apple (Mac App Store payments) — card and payment processing.
  • PostHog — diagnostic and usage telemetry.
  • Brevo — sending the referral invites you ask us to send.
  • Our servers — license, settings and subscription records.

Your choices

You can ask us to see or delete the data tied to your installation ID at any time by emailing support@maccove.com with the installation ID shown in Space’s Settings. Uninstalling Space stops all collection.

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
